No Magicgate on memory stick?

Hi

I downgraded my PSP from 3.02oe-a to 2.71se-c because i couldn't play any ISO's as my memory stick is a fake. When checking under 'information' in the XMB it would say 'unknown' for Magicgate.

Now with 2.71se-c installed when i check under information there is no mention of magicgate! It only mentions 'user capacity' and 'free space' - nothing about magicgate!

Does anyone know why this would be the case? Also, is there anyway of faking magicgate so that PSP believes that the memory sitck has it?
