Only if your official firmware is already at 5.50 or up....anything below (including 5.00, you can hack it, but you will have to just suspend your PSP, you can't actually turn it off because the hack is in the RAM)

What firmware are you on? If you are on 5.00 M33-4, just run this update:

http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1646

Overwrite any old files that may already be present within the UPDATE folder.

Go to the XMB, press SELECT, go down to ISO Device and press right to make it say 'M33 Driver' or 'Sony NP9660'.

Any of the newer games that require 5.55 or 6.00 to play will not launch on 5.00 M33. (Or any other custom firmware / exploit available)

What games are they? The only "new" game that is playable is the European version of Soul Calibur, the US version of Dissidia, Need For Speed Shift, and Madden NFL 10.

All three of those games require 5.55 to play. The European version of Soul Calibur can be patched to run on 5.50 GEN-B. (Which means that you have to upgrade) See this thread for more info.

You have to wait for a new custom firmware/workaround for 5.55/6.00 to come out.
