Downgrade PSP

I was able to get hold of a PSP that had the software to play games. But my 11 year old son has accidentally downloaded a later version of the Psp (v. 4.05) and now the games won't work when downloaded onto the PSP. I've now been told that i need to downgrade back to v 3.95 gen or 3.93 by dark alex, and then upgrade back up again. I've searched through this site, but can't find where i can downgrade to 3.95 by Dark Alex or how to do it. I'm a bit lost.

Could anyone help? I'd really appreciate it.

I was thinking maybe i had a Pandora's battery already as the PSP came with all the software on it and i was able to play all the games that came on discs all until my son upgraded the PSP version (although i haven't opened up the battery to check)? Or are Pandora's batteries only needed if you have the latest PsP versions?

Pandora batt is used for hacking on psp's with firmware over 3.51.
Pandora is only used to hack it, (theres a way to use one as normal though in this case doesn't apply), so you need to either buy a pandora battery, softmod yours (another hacked psp needed), or just hardmod it yourself, there are tuts for all of those options (buying one doesn't need a tut lol) in the tutorials section, I strongly recomend you read the one I mentioned before.
