Downgrade Phat PSP With Firmware 5.50 - Help Needed

( Please note that english is not my native tongue, so please forgive me in advance for any mistake/typo)

Here is my question, help me if you can:
I have a Phat PSP, the 1004 model with the latest firmware installed, version 5.50 (I know, such a bad thing to do, update to the newest version.) But anyway, since it is a 1004 i know for sure it is hackable, and i want to hack it, so i would like to know if by using the Pandora Battery/ Memory Stick method i'll have the job done? Is it safe? (i mean by using a Pandora Battery/ Memory stick and the Pandora software?)
And by the way, do i ABSOLUTELY must use a MEMORY STICK PRO or can i use instead my m2 card with adapter?

Oh and by the way, yes, i have read the Faqs on How To create/use a Pandora Battery, Memory stick and etc but since i am a noob and my understanding of the english language is not so good, i am still having trouble. I want to softmodd a psp battery into a pandora battery and after use, recover it. At least that would be half the job done...

If anyone's feeling generous, you could also enlighten me on the entire process... , for i, once again, am a noob! Ahah.

ANY phat or silm(non-ta088v3 mb) can use Pandroa and Magic memory stick
at ANY FW to get onto CFW

hum ok, i see. by the way, tell one thing: is there ANY WAY to create a Pandora Battery from a Psp Original Battery by softmodding method WITHOUT CFW ? Only with a Psp 5.50 OFW, a pc, a usb cable, one memory stick (m2 with adapter) and some sort of software?

My pandora battery looks identical to the one in that pic.....I did the hardmod myself too....

any PSP phat battery can be hardmodded to a pandora was my understanding.

Hum...my battery looks like that one except for the serial number under the code bar, before "made in china" It reads 5x24BZA

I see. about the mms, is it mandatory that the card must be a Memory Stick Pro Duo or can i use a m2 card with an adapter ?
