Default Are new psp 3000s hackable?

I've been outa the loop for a while ever since I lost my psp 2k a few months ago..

I understand that 3ks can be hacked now but only 5.03 or below. What firmwares do new units have?

New units have either 5.03 (if your lucky and the store you buy your psp from didn't get a new shipment) or 5.50, maybe even 5.55 but I'm not sure if that's already being pre-installed with the newest psp's.

Well Amazon still has the first ever bundle for it available new (Ratchet and Clank Silver)

Since those unites were made way back then wouldn't I likely be safe and have 5.03 or below?

Yeah it might even have 5.00, I forget what the lowest firmware the 3000's came with.

Yeah, I just looked it up the first ever FW they had was 4.21 then 5.00 and up.

5.03 came out in January and the bundle came in October and it takes at least another month before thy send the ones with new FW. So I'll prbably buy a Ratchet and Clank off of Amazon.(even if i already have a copy of R&C....)
