Any "Technical" Help Please..

Ok.. so, yea, call me a noob.. call me an idiot... Here's My Story...

I bought a phat psp from a friend with a working custom firmware 3.71m33-3..
Sure, it was great.. but as I got into learning about "addons" such as custom gameboots, sounds, themes, ect... I educated myself, and attempted after MUCH research.. (HEAR ME.. I DID RESEARCH)... everything went flawlessly.. good work... I had it exactly how I wanted it.. BEAUTIFUL... WELL.... I had a few movies on my psp when I was at a friends house, we decided to hook my psp up to his ps3 (not hooked up to the internet) to watch them on the bigscreen tv... BAD IDEA... Something happened [like a forced update] to the point where I couldnt play almost all my previous games or PS1 eboots... GRRR.
Custom files possibly got over written, I couldn't tell you exactly... but I was hoping a new updated firmware would correct this.. THUS.. I downloaded the 5.00 m33-3 update... RAN IT... working..... in operation only... no games I previously had would work at all, including the all previous ones that did work before the "botched after ps3" fiasco... I became slightly aggravated, and attempted to revert back to my old files... I had backups (on pc) of flash0 and flash1, and my duo memory card... and wasn't too worried.. well....while in recovery mode... SOMETHING happened.. I don't know.. maybe my error, maybe not.. but I'm now left with a phat brick...... It turns on, (fortunately only to recovery mode) and will allow me access to my usb toggle options.... [I'm assuming this is where the term "SEMI" bricked comes into play....]
HERE's where I feel like an idiot... I've looked all over, read post after post, maybe I'm just that upset and tired, but I can't for the life of me.... logically understand what I have to do to get a starting system again.. If I can get ANYTHING to run I'll easily be able to get somewhere from there.. but this I have NO EXPERIENCE IN.. (I know there's a possible chance I'll need a pandora battery, [which I dont have] and another working custom firmware psp... [another thing I dont have].... - too late to ask for a Merry F'N Xmas for me.. ANYWAYS, if anyone feels like helping out and maybe has experience with this type of thing and would like to atleast point me in a technical direction... I would be greatly appreciative.. I have quite a few things already downloaded and ready to go... but.. I just reached my own wall of knowledge/understanding... Keep in mind... I'm not a total noob... but this has me indeed asking for help.. I'll sleep on it for a few days. Hoping someone has the time and patience to assist.. (perhaps maybe someone who has had a similar issue, or even someone nice enough to walk me through it via aim messenger, to answer my questions as they arise.)

The only way i know if Pandora. You could always Hardmod a battery and get a friend who has a 1000 to make the MMS. I only know how to do it that method aside from that i don't know how to unbrick without them. But your not full bricked so theres hope lol.
