NOW I'm gonna sound like a complete n00b for asking this.

What are cso files
---
What are prx files
---
What is kernel
---
What is mpsformat
---
Why can't I find a way to make a magic memory stick without a psp that already has cfw that will actually work for me
---
What does nand mean (I hear it used a lot when talking about backups)
---
To make a backup do you have to just copy everything from the ms root or do you use a program
---
What exactly is "flash[number]"
---
How do you make eBOOT s (a guide?)

A compressed ISO.

PRX files are kinda hard to explain. They perform different functions for the firmware, things like icon positioning and icon movement speeds, to where the PSP looks for firmware updates at.

Kernel is kinda hard to explain, too. I'll leave that up to wikipedia.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kernel_(computer_science)

It's used to logically format the memorystick.

You can make a magic memorystick without a homebrew PSP using apps like Pandora's Easy GUI and PSP Grader.

NAND is your flash files.

No.

flash0 - system files
flash1 - user settings
flash2 - DRM

What kind of eboot? Look in the programming section.

I did have other questions but I can't remember them.
---
Thanks for any help at all and you'll probably be helping future n00bs too.

By no do you mean no to the program or no to the copying manually.

The kernel addon is only for phat psp's. It helps to play homebrew games.
Try using google or search to find your answers.

As I said before I'm on a psp so my psp doesn't like that many websites. :P

I just remembered another question
---
Why is the internet on the psp so bad? To make it better would I have to put in a better wifi card if possible?

Because the PSP is only equipped with WLAN 802.11b not g or n!! Plus most websites are starting to use Web2.0 Which makes websites huge, and the PSP has to load it in that little RAM it got (Phat 32MB / Slim 64 MB)

Yeah. Luckily though the slim at least has better RAM than the ps2.

use Links2 for PSP browsing. With it, I can load pages faster than on my dad's computer.
