I tried the headphones and they seem to be fine. I am running custom firmware 3.90 on a PSP Slim. I tried updating the firmware to custom 4.01 to see if this would help but i had no luck. Any one have any Ideas of how to fix the speakers? If a psp is running custom firmware and the i install a retail firmware version over it, will the warrantee still be valid? |

just buy some new ones, they´re cheap...and easy to replace, you dont need to remove the Mo board.

Could you please point me in the direction of some instructions of how to replace them.
Also how easy, will it involve soldering? |

I had a look on Acidmod and all i could find were tutorials of how to mod speakers and not anything on actually replacing them.
If someone could give me a link or tell me where exactly to find a tutoria on replacing psp slim speakersl i would be gratefull. Thanks |

I believe the speaker mods involve replacing them anyway

My friend had the same problem. When he Formate flash1 and restore defualts settings it came back up, but it goes down when he press the up or down button. All the way down.

Er, we may be on different pages, but I found whenever I load a savestate it generally cuts out on some roms. I think you mean you actually BROKE them though.

just search on youtube for a complete psp disassembling tut, you will see how easy it is to replace them, and no, you dont need to make any soldering, they are plugged to the motherboard, actually you only need to remove the screen and the button pads...
