i think i remeber a device that was essentially 4 aaa batteries inside of a case with an adapter wire coming off of it that plugged into your charger slot, i dont remeber the name or anything but i think it was made by mad cats

if your handy with a glue gun and soldering iron im sure you couls make your own version just by getting a case and putting a few aaa's or double aa's in it and and setting em up so they out put to a psp charger wire, iy you use ni-mh batteries you can then pop em out when your not using them and charge them using any ni-mh battery charger.

the only thing you have to be carefull of is trying to not go over the 5v limit, aaa's and aa's put out roughly 1.5v each so you could have any where between 2 and 4, however 3 is probably the best number, if you get batteries with a high MaH rating then you wont have to charge them as often, MAH equals the amount of battery life, higher mah, equals longer play time.

EDIT: heres one on this page:
http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...a%3DN%26um%3D1
but its f'in huge

EDIT2: im not sure if this is what jibbz mentioned, but its a charger grip for the slim
http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...%3D20%26um%3D1
probably the best choice for form and function.

Something like this would work too:
http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=2767656

But you are still better off buying more PSP batteries. The iGo AA adapter is rated at 800mah. The lenmar device is 2100mah, a PSP battery is 2200mah:

If you really worry about rebooting the psp during a battery swap, just use a lenmar or iGo to keep it powered during the swap. But really, a 2200mah PSP battery in a slim will last through any domestic flight. If you find youself on a 16 hour flight to china, just take a break at some save point and change batteries.
