a freind gave me his psp slim to look at if for him, you can hear the thing power up, but no picture,and you can hear the thing when pressing the buttons. just blank screen. took it apart, does not seem to be any cracks or breaks on it. i was thinking it might be the screen but not to sure, dont want to buy a 70 buck screen if it aint the problem. he didint say how it happend, but thinking mabey a botched upgrade could be the problem. anyone have the same problem? and how did they fix it? any information would be appreciated..........

the back lite fuse is probably blown, have to solder it

did u try pressing the brightness button?
or, try entering recovery menu>advanced and format flash1

baclkight comes on, you can push the backlight button threeetimes, you can see it switch bright/brighter/brightest. it needs to be modded to go into recovery menu, dont it? this psp hasint been touched yet.........(modded)..........

just bad screen connections take it apart its the only way to fix it

checked connectons, even took the two off, pulled the clamps up slowly, not to break them. im guessing its the screeen.
