i need some help fixing my buddies analog stick.

my buddies analog stick has broke. the little stub piece that connects to actual "pad" has broke off and now its just a hole. i have the replacement stick. i installed it with no problems. when i tested the stick, its fucked, the joystick gets stuck in any direction. so i opened the analog assembly. at first i thought it was the circuit board that was chaffing the bars, but it seems like the bars inside get hung up on each other. im trying to sand it down a bit, but they still stick. i can really use some suggestions on how to repair this. or maybe i can send it to someone who can fix this.

dude, it was like $20 for that damn stick. even if i do get a new one. would that one stick too? how many do i need to buy? i just wanna fix the one i have. there has to be a way.

i will repair it like new for 8 usd i have the nub too but ill prob just fix yours i may have to solder it but i can fix it
