Default psp slim blank screen fix

There have been a few people having problems with there psp slims screens working some times and other times not

UPDATE ok this was only a temporary fix as it started acting up again so i had to dig deeper if anyone has a xbox360 you are familiar with the ROD and the video freezing this is caused by overheating which weakens and causes faulty soldier points on the chips cpu and video well i am not sure but I believe on the psp this chip in photo maybe having the same problem when pressure is applied screen works perfect if you are currently having lines or screen going in and out please verify i have done this with the psp below and added tape under the d-pad plastic piece and behind lcd and psp works but has a pressure spot on screen if you are currently having the lines look at photo and follow these steps and see if the lines clear up then we will discuss a possible permanent fix here
if this cause your lines to go away and screen that is blank to work post back
a possible solution other than the one below would be to clamp chip down and heat with a heat gun on back side of mobo and let cool allowing soldier points to heat up and reset this is all theory if some could take a photo of the back side of the mobo this would help greatly

I have managed to get a hold of one for repairs and found when i put pressure on the point shown in photo the screen would work

So I opened it up and took a look well I could have gone further but i figured if i could get it to work with the less of amount of searching so be it here was my solution

things you will need double sided tape or cardboard double sided tape is better cause it gives or use something that has some give

*** if you are having problems with gaps or closing your faceplate use less filler and you can also use a smaller piece like i said it is trial and error to get the results you are looking for***

1. If you are having the above problem put pressure on the point in photo and turn on psp
if it works go to 2# if it doesnt continue to put pressure in different places until screen works

2. once you have found the spot use either double sided tape as i did or a piece of cardboard
match book folded etc you want to put just enough to put pressure which will be applied by the faceplate once installed so trial and error if you use double sided tape make sure to put a piece of paper on the other side of the achieve so that it doesn't stick i used it because of its thickness and it gives under pressure

3. Once you have placed it now put faceplate back together with out screws hold faceplate as tight as you can as if screws where in turn on psp if it works go ahead and add your screws and your good
if it doesn't make sure you are holding faceplate tight or if you want add screw also increase the thickness of the pressure point
becarefull if too thick you may crack or cause discoloration to the screen

Nice guide... Looks simple enough... Now I'll know where to go if I get this problem.
