So I noticed the other day that Filer Ver 3.4 has this nifty feature that allows users to backup their flash1 and flash0 directories as .img files stored in the root of the MS.

So all you have to do is keep Filer in your GAME folder in a folder named "RECOVERY" and if you should ever be so unfortunate to brick your PSP.... well then you can just run the eboot from the recovery menu, and restore it in minutes.

if you already knew this then good for you....

I used to use filer here and there, only to flash things, but the more Ive used it I found that I no longer need fileassistant++ or iRShell. so I replaced those hefty programs with this smaller simpler and ultimately more useful program.

be careful tho PSP Filer is a dangerous program...

Don't think that this site has this updated, try google. And btw with 3.1 you can still do the same thing (copy / paste, really the same thing)

I think thats only useable with a semi-brick!?
I backuped my flash once. Just for safty reason. Didn't know that you can do so funny things.
Normally when i flash a new custom firmware, i restore default settings before. Can i backup my flash1 after flashing the fw and have all my settings back?
