Japanese language games

hey all,
I know I don't post often, internet is white gold down here in africa; but I need some help with Japan games.
Got some really nice looking titles but obviously unplayable because of the language.
Is there any mod or hack for this issue? I basically just want to change the language files in the game. Hell, just make it engrish so I can play. stuff the storyline if need be.

Any ideas?
Have Tried the following:
1) Turning PSP Sideways - Fail
2) Learning Japanese - Epic Fail
3) Guessing the symbols - Fail
4) Asking Japanese friend to help me play the game - Fail

Threats have had no impact on the game itself, although I swear that the psp battery dropped a bar when I threatened to flush it. coincidence? I think not.

the BEST way is to try Learning Japanese
you can try using a guide
but there is NOTHING you can do to change the language if Japanese language ONLY game

Maybe you're turning it in the wrong direction?

For some games there are fan translations. I've used a few for playing ff on the snes emulator (the ONLY way it should be played). But modern games, like when ffvii cc came out, learn japanese.

Are you talking a UMD? If so you could rip it and patch it to be in english, very hard, probably not worth it but possible.
