I found a way to get HEND running everytime!

i have the same problem. pciture loads and nothing else doesnt even freeze. I think we are missing the program

hey, i tried the tip.

done everything exactly how your meant too,

and my psp just turns off and doesnt reboot, sometimes it just freezes and nothing happens, the screen darkens like how it would originaly if you did not engage with it for some time, and when you touch it, it lights up again and stays frozen..

there still hasnt been a sign of a blue screen, and no rebooting.

anyone have any solutions to this? :/

Here's the REAL trick, if you're trying to run HEN for doing a downgrade (that's what I did)
I had 2.80 and was trying to get 1.50.
1. go to photos section with right D pad
2. press X button to open up photos section
3. press right D pad and X at same time quickly

This is the quick part!
4. Quickly (very fast!) press O button once you see the rooster fill the screen, then press X, do it repeatedly
What this will do is continue to open up the rooster image. After a couple of these cycles of opening this up, then press O which gets you back to the directory listing of the HEN_280 folder. Now just wait a little bit, and hopefully it will load the HEN hack.

What this is basically doing is prolonging your time spent inside the HEN_280 folder, which I think is what is required for the exploit to run. You have to have a certain amount of unfrozen time spent inside the HEN folder (some amount of seconds) Continuing this cycle of re-opening the rooster image ensures that you are inside the folder for a certain amount of time without being frozen. This is my hypothesis on how it works.. I didn't make the exploit so I don't know...

People say that its a matter of luck and chance.. its not! We're dealing with electronics that usually behave in a very certain way (computers don't make mistakes), so you can't think that you haven't reset enough times and thats why its not working.. ur just not doing it right.. Don't listen to the idiots who had to reset 100 times and want to make you do it also! :)

Another thing i noticed for anyone still using hen.
Dont use vista.

I love being able to whack hen on a psp, makes downgrading so EASY!
Just not all that common that you come across 2.xx firmwares.

But yeah, i noticed that on all the hen loading that i have done, i have always had probs using vista.
