This morning I bought a SONY 8gb pro duo wondering if there could be something else that could be done to make it work with my PSP-2001 CFW 5.00m33-3, I google it for a wile and nothing positive was said, at the begining it only read 4gb, but on my PC it could read the whole 8gb. Yeah, everybody said it like in the past a lot of people said that the PSP was unflashable But after messing around with it for over half an hour I decided to format the 8gb pro duo with the PC via USB and as it should be:Capacity: 7.54GB File system: FAT32 (Default) Allocation unit size: Default allocation size (36 kilobytes) BTW here we are trying to make things different, so why not trying to change some settings like Allocation unit size instead of default switch it to 64 kilobytes BEFORE FORMATTING COPY THE ROOT DIR OF YOUR MEM STICK on your PC then start format quick or slow it's your call, I prefer slow to minimize errors. When done close USB connection and check the size of the mem stick with your PSP happy faces all around with your 8gb. Your last step will be to paste the root dir back to your mem stick. DON'T FORMAT THE MEM STICK WITH YOUR PSP. Works perfect for me, I hope it does for you. Happy Holiday |

um.... 8GB Sony Pro Duo was working long ago and so has a 16GB Sony Pro Duo. You sure you don't have a fake memory card which was reading 4GB? Fake memory cards tend to do that.

that tip is only applicable to fake memory sticks, original and good fakes don't need that, just the really bad ones, lol.
