Hey there, many questions have been floating around on many forums and one which caught my attention was "How do i make my own games?" well if you are reading this now, here you will find your answer..

The Resources
Yet again, another question un-answered "How do i learn to program?"
http://www.gamedev.net
GDnet is one of the best websites in which beginners & newbies have the chance to start little and end big in the programming world. The site includes many resources and tutorials on how to program your own games using C/C++.
To view the beginner programmers guide go to this link:
http://www.gamedev.net/reference/pro...tures/davegpg/

Throughout the tutorial you will be prompted with a number of applications which are available to create your own games in.. e.g Microsoft Visual C++.

If you are using another based system other than Windows there are other tutorials further into the site which will also teach you how to create games using Linux based systems and so on and so forth..

Not to knock your post, but... That article is and always has been, quite possibly the most useless article on GameDev.
