Default Where to buy 60GB PS3?
I know you can buy them on ebay and stuff, but I need somewhere that I can use a credit card. I have $170 so far, and trying to get rid of some rims and subs so I can get the rest of the money. I want to get one shipped to me BEFORE Socom: Confrontation comes out, since thats the only reason I even want one. Is there a way to use a credit card with Paypal, other than signing up for theirs? I know a few sellers on eBay have stores where you can use a credit card, but is there a way to find them? I went to advanced search and all I saw was the option for listings with paypal. Can I find ones that let me use a CC as well?

the original 60GBs ps3 (that can play ps2 games good) are discontinued no longer being made
you can only get them a few online store mostly USED NOT NEW

also the 80gb (that can play ps2 games ok) are discontinued no longer being made (or will be soon)
you can still get it at stores new

the NEW ps3s that are coming out will NOT play ps2 games

i got lucky and got a Refurbished PS3 60GB on 01/20/2008
it is Refurbished but works

It a good idea to have "Hide extensions for known file types" in Folder Options(under Tool) unchecked (turn on extensions)

The new 80 gigs don't have backwards compatibility?

Sony sucks
Why the fuck do they not want people to play PS2 games on the PS3? Sounds so stupid to me.

And just for clarification for the thread starter, the PAL(European) 60GB models uses software backward compatibility, means it "plays ps2 games OK" as Ryu described it, the NTSC(American) 60GB models uses Emotion Engine which means 100% backward compatibility

Why don't Sony just allow PS2 games on the PS3? Don't they just have to install something to the firmware to allow PS2 games to run? Or is it more hardware related..?

money

i was able to find a 60gb on craigslist

im picking it up tomorrow

60gb two controllers and resistance for 350

i saw another 60 gb for 275 but the guy had already sold it
