Pictures to verify if its a RAZR. If its a RAZR, what version? V3c, V3r, V3m, etc.

Your phone is CDMA, and you're gonna need a pretty lengthy list of software programs to mod/flash the phone. P2ktools and Bitpim are good to start off with.

I don't remember much from when I modded my CDMA SLVR L7c, as it was years ago, but make sure you can get your hands on a backup of your firmware, because if you fuck up and need to restore, you're fucked without it. It has to be a copy of the software your service provider uses. You can't unlock it for use on other networks, unless they will activate flashed phones. Most won't do this. If you wanted to try, you would have to flash it with a firmware for the intended service provider. (Flash from Alltel to Verizon, for example)

Skins for that phone are all over the place, and skiman can help you install them. As I said before though, make sure you can find an Alltel RAZR firmware backup before you start flashing shit.

well i'm new to the phone hacks but it did have all the dirrctorys and I do not know what model it is. it came with an altel plan with 3 phones. I then saw it used the same plug as the PSP so I downloaded the P2K phone file app. I then copy a custom ringtone and it shuts off and only copys about 10-20% of the file. if you can tell me whare to looks to see model number it would help. the battery says "BZ60" and motorola and japeness stuff. and if i'm correct it has the original moto firmware not a wired one. i tried changeing the coldboot and it courrpted it but it still booted the same. i was also succesfully able to deleat stuff. I can't add stuff. the screen goes blank I think altel is blocking it out somewhare. maby I could deleate a file?

If you can find a copy of the Alltel firmware for that phone somewhere (moto modding forums) you can flash it with motorola pst. If you can't find one for Alltel, don't tinker too much with the flash. You can brick the phone if you don't have a backup of the firmware.

I can't put ANY files on the phone it shuts off so how am I suposed to do that? i'll try it on my moms and dads but i'm sure it's alltel's block. ok now I found out if I keep coopieing the same file it will edventualy go around. I tried it with my dads and it's the same. if I hold the phone above my head it helps. could it be the USB? the USB works fine on my PSP. also I found out it's a V3a
