so i got an Arcade version and I don't have the hard drive yet.
I can get a 120gb or a 20gb, does it matter which one i get? (the 120gb will be with the modded hard drive of course) does the hard drive size matter at all for the xbox? what does it even do? does it just hold game saves?

Holds game saves, Downloadable content (such as map packs, music game songs, additional game levels, arcarde games, movies), and the best feature of installing games to the hard drive to eliminate noise from the disc drive while playing and increase load times.
Honestly 20GB is way to small for the content that is on Xbox Live (and the content that is coming). 60GB may do it depending on the person. Personally for me 120GB wasn't enough, even with deleting stuff I never use, and had to get a second one.

20GB's will be good if you just plan on using it for gamesaves, some music, and a few Live arcade games.

I think they got rid of the 20GB's for a reason... All my friends filled theirs up.
But I guess it depends on the person. (I'm telling you the copy to hard drive feature is really useful though )

Couldn't agree more. I upgraded my 20GB to 60GB just for this reason. Before this feature was implemented 20GB's was good for me.

Ok so the guy says he wants 45 bucks for the mod, and he'll give me $150 for collateral (i paid $180 for it though). So is 45 really worth it? he says he can do it in 10 minutes, and that seems pretty quick, but at worst, i lose 30 bucks.
Is there any way to revert the mod though if i send it in to microsoft for the RROD?

Just ask him if he can keep the Warranty sticker intact and also ask him for a backup of your keys ( This can be very useful if you need to spoof a new drive later ) If he does make a mess of the warranty sticker you can always buy a new one on ebay ... lol He will not mess it up doing the flash if he has done one before because it is really simple to do. If you do not trust him to remove the sticker you can do it yourself before you give it to him. $40 CAD is the usual rate in my area.

![]() you made me feel more comfortable with this, i just have a hard time trusting people with expensive stuff... you know? Doesn't microsoft know it's modded though even if the warranty sticker is on?
