it is saying that it will "REDUCE" battery life AKA make it shorter

say you are on power save and your battery lasts 4 hours

then you go on max performance and your battery lasts 2 hours

that is a REDUCTION in battery life.


it is not saying "your current plan may reduce charge of the battery"
the only funny thing here is your misunderstanding of it.
