Idea - PSP Go! smileys

In lieu of the PSP Go! being released earlier this month, I thought I'd make up some Go-styled smileys for the forums.

I've only done a few so far, just as a concept of what a complete set could look like, and was just wondering what people thought.

If people like them enough, I'm more than willing to make the whole set. If not, oh well, it kept me busy for a few minutes lol

I've opted to go for the bigger smileys rather than small as I've heard some say in the past that the current smileys are a bit small. Filesize-wise, they only come in at 1.9Kb each, so it's still small enough for forums so that it won't use too much bandwidth.

Btw, yes, they're meant to have a greyish border around them at the moment. Otherwise, against the dark background of the forums, its very hard to see the outline of the emoticons. (And yes, the "evil" one's horns look weird - I'll fix that eventually.)

I'll definitely take that into consideration. But one thing I've heard from some people in the past is that the current smileys are too small, too cramped etc...which is why I opted for the slightly bigger approach. And they're only around 1.9Kb each, so it's not like they take up a huge amount of bandwidth.

I think the increase of the PSPGo Smiley's size is symbolic of its the increase in price

Size wise I dont think they look bad. the ps3-hacks ones are about the same size. Maybe if you just shrunk them a bit I think they would be good.

Only problem I can see with resizing them is that I'd pretty much have to start from scratch on all of them - the faces themselves I did myself, but obviously the PSP Go was found via somewhere else.

If I shrink them even by say 10% in Photoshop as they are now, they become really blurry, and out of focus. So if enough people want them shrunken down a bit, I'll do it, but only if it's really necessary - starting from scratch and then finding out it was a waste of time doesn't sound really appealing D: lol

As you can see, the sharpness that's in the first one is lost in the 2nd one, so I'd have to redesign the whole facial area again, and also fix up the border on the outside.
