Does the PSP support anything besides mp3 for music?

try converting it to one of the above formats.
not sure if there is a homebrew player which supports .aac

Thanks, I think I'll stick with mp3. Shame it doesn't handle ogg.

I use dBpoweramp, r11 is free still.

Supported by XMB:
- MP3 (layer 1, don't think layer 2 works, but haven't tested)
- WAV (PCM or MP3)
- ATRAC3 (requires SonicStage though)
- LC-AAC in MP4 (.m4a) or ADTS (.aac); HE-AACv1 and v2 is accepted but not decoded
- WMA 9 Standard profile

A number of homebrew do support OGG and FLAC, including LightMP3 and xReader, but unfortunately, there's not much love for open formats by commercial companies.
