1) find a youtube video and copy url
2) go on http://vixy.net/flv_converter and enter the url
3) choose video format

It then converts (on the fly) and then lets you download the video

Formats supported to convert to are:

1) AVI for Windows (DivX + MP3)
2) MOV for Mac (MPEG4 + MP3)
3) MP4 for Ipod/PSP (MPEG4 + AAC)
4) 3GP for Mobile (MPEG4 + AAC)
5) MP3 (Audio Only)

If you don't download it as MP4 you may want to use PSP Video9
http://www.pspvideo9.com/
On the same site there are programs to convert to PS3 media and
Nintendo Wii media files. Not sure how they work though.

This is not just limited to Youtube. It works with any site that uses
Macromedia Flash to embed videos. Another being Google Video.

I posted this as it is a lot easier than the other post on getting vids
from Youtube onto your PSP, and this methoed supports any website
using flash embeded videos. You also do not need to download any
programs to convert media files.

Enjoy!
( please bear in mind it is against Youtubes's policies to downlaod content from their site )

wow this looks grea but when i download the file is liek 74kb that cant be right is it
if this works should be kept bumped or stickyed.

EDIT:nvm about the 74kb thing i guess it was an errob caue i did it again and it worked fine

EDIT2:The best way to get the vids on ur psp is to use psplayerMT after downloading in the windows format

not sure about how it names, but I don't think it matters now in higher firmware. Just
put it into mso:\videos and it should work.

Urrgh, PSPPlayerMT - works I guess, but will only play back a limited number of videos. Won't work for downloaded YouTube videos though (Flash 8 / VP6).

Videos must still be in PSP compatible MP4 format...

You can just go to firefox and search for the video downloader extension. Go to any FLV playing site like youtube and such, and click the icon on the bottom right which then downloads the FLV file. From there, you can just go straight into PSP Video 9 and convert it.

Tutorial:

Download the Video Downloader extension found below
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2390/

Then after wards, go to any youtube or any flv player site and go to the video desired. Wait for it to completely play (easier to download)

Now, just click the bottom right icon which is a small film strip with a floppy disc on it. A pop up will appear and then just click it to start the download.

Now that you have the .flv file, you can either get an flv player, or convert it to MP4 via PSP video 9.

I tried this and this was the output I got was 0e4e51d3df611a26cf407c6098470ded.mp4 I changed it to M4V00996.MP4 but it tells me "icompatible data" . I'm running a 1.50, any ideas why it doesn't work?

Thanks,
Terry
