I have a problem with converting AVI files with pspvideo9 v1.74. I usually convert my AVI files to AVC format and when transfer it to my PSP and place it on the AVC folder or the VIDEOS folder which I had no problem when I was still on 3.10 OE-A. Now the problem is when I convert the AVI files and transfer it to the PSP on my 3.40 OE-A, it shows a message stating that the video could not be played. And when I transfer it to the VIDEOS folder, an icon shows up with a title "Unsupported file".

Another thing, my old ".mp4" files that played during the previous versions does not work anymore.

Can anybody give me an explanation?

i assume your renaming the mp4's and avc's?

The .MP4 video is to be named: M4Vxxxxx.MP4 where xxxxx is number (example M4V00001.MP4).
The AVC video is to be named: MAQxxxxx.MP4 where xxxxx is number (example MAQ00001.MP4).

Well I didnt rename anything, just converted it from pspvideo9 1.74. My 3.40 OE-A does not recognize the format made by the converter.

The other files were converted by PSP max media. Those were MPEG4 formatted but it still played during previous versions.

EDIT:
I fixed the MPEG4 formats by renaming it to AVC format like you said. But I still have a problem with the PSP Video convert v.1.74. I'll try looking at it again. Any explanations to this?

Try other converters, such as XviD4PSP if PSP Video 9 is giving errors.

I can't think of what the problem would be.
