Arrow [Request/idea] - PSP Manga Viewer/Streamer

This is not a request for a normal/conventional manga reader....Well it is but it's also a request for something a little different.

I'm putting out a request for an app that does a similar thing to the program 'Manga Reader' for PC.

That's to say an app that lists and streams manga (well serially downloads the images) from the many online sites that have scanslations (and possibly an option to download all files in one particular episode for later offline viewing?)

For example:

http://www.mangarooter.net - has a very simple structure (One folder on their server for the name of the manga, another for the specific issue (predictible name), then the .imgs in order.

While this site is perhaps the easiest there are lots of others (eg http://www.onemanga.com, http://www.mangafox.com ) to name but two who offer similarly large, frequently updated collections.

I suspect this should be possible, Though I myself lack the skills to do it I'd love to see it and would humbly submit this request for the inspiration of some kind and generous soul gifted in computer programming ;-)

What do people think? I'm sure I can't be the only anime-junkie here ;-)

Uhm, there's a PDO reader that you could use to read PDO's of your manga, but no streaming programs I think.

Cool

I've found the scans view fine on the native viewer....

However having to download all the images first pop them in the right folders is a hastle that limits my use a bit. A lot of the time these days I simply wait until I get home and use my big PC. Would be nice if the streaming dream could be made a reality.

...Anyone got both the will and the skill to make this happen?

if so I'd be eternally greatful! ;-)

they actually made a script for onemanga.com that did what ur asking. but that was for modded xbox. the script is stilll working but it needs to be continually updated. BUT IT WORKS. its only on xbox though so it would be just as easy to sit at ur computer. It would be nice to know how to convert scripts or whatever (im not a programer)lol

Arrow

Yeh I know they do,

I use it. I'm an avid XBMC user ;-)

There's also Manga Reader for the PC which does this.

PSP is just BUILT for this though. Absolutely the perfect companion in a Wifi hotspot coffee area.

I hope someone with the will and the ability does find this post, I'm sure manga fans everywhere would be eternally greatful (it's hard to believe given the PSP is quite popular in Japan that there isn't already something like this out there).

We can but hope.
