[Release] - Simon 0.6 - PSP-Hacks.com 2007 Homebrew Competition

Here is another entry into our 2007 homebrew competition. Please download and give feedback to the coder.

Name of Entry: Simon
Type of Entry: A simple memory style game.
Description of Program: This is a game that is very simple yet fun. Sort of like Simon says. A round color thing, called a Simon has four colors on it. To play, the Simon will light up its colors in a random order. The user (you) then must input back the same colors in the same order. There are seven rounds with the first round having four colors and each round after one more than the last. Beat round seven and you beat Simon.

Instructions: To play click start at the start screen. Then press start when you are ready. WATCH SIMON carefully as he will start to randomly display colors after a short delay. When he stops, a message 'your turn' appears.
Now use the D-Pad to click the Simon colors. Up for Green, Right for Red, Down for Yellow, and Left for Blue.
As soon as you get one color wrong the round is over and you go back to round 1. Get it right and a message will alert you of your victory. Then press start to precede to next round.

I plan to release as many updates as I can before the deadline.
Features expected by next update:
Background music - will be a few songs included
- or ability to randomly play from Music folder
Theme Support: I am already making different themes for the game including a Mets (New York Baseball Team) theme

Access to music options and theme options available in a new options menu.

To change background music, place your MP3 as background.mp3 in the Simon folder. Only the new gmae, resume, and exit buttons are functional.

Hey everyone just letting you guys know that the combined downloads of pspupdates.com and this site leave this game at 1,000 yeah.... lol And the first update will take a bit longer than I expected, probably around Sunday, because of recoding some parts of the already existing functionality to make it easier to add more features.

Alright everyone, now that Simon Remix v0.4 has finally been released. Work has started on the next version. As I include better features, I have an idea to redisign the layout. Here is what it will look like:

As you can see by the buttons there will be a bunch of new features.

And here is what they new loading background (the one that apears with the icon in the xmb game menu) would look like:


Please people can you tell me which layouts you prefer. The new ones or the original.

Oh greg.. did you redirect the download for Simon 0.1 to the new update?? Cuz thats how it is on the front page now. ALso, the number of downloads say 1,300 something. The count didnt start over then right???

Hey man (J@ricanese) i can't wait to see the new theme up and working...
and i sent you the images... check if the buttons are aligned... i didn't have time to check.

and i was just wondering if anyone else had a problem with the screenshot feature... can people test it out and reply with thir results....

and J@ricanese tell me if you want me to so anything else... i'll probably send you the .psd for the startscreen buttons.
