not really, if you set the cpu to 100 when using it and have the brightness on the lowest setting

but still..
if you wanted to watch a video as your screensaver, why not just watch it in your VIDEO folder? I mean sure, a video screensaver would be pretty cool. But when I leave my psp I'm not going to be watching the video on screensaver mode.

er... but then u have 2 be in an actual app for it 2 loop around the video.. so that kinda just kills it. what we need is a screensaver implemented in the cfw itself. sort of like turnoff backlight thing. it auto kicks in after like 10 ro 20 min...

replicat0r is right.
you will need an application to loop the video unless there's some sort of plugin that can do the trick but that will be pretty complex to make. 1) make sure there is a screensaver mode 2) dim the lights or off completely 3) play the video and loop it 4) all of this done after a period of time set by the person.
