:o Whats up guys! Snes9x 0.4.2 is really aggravating me! I have been attempting to get Secret of Mana to work correctly and it just won't. It freezes the system as soon as you get into Potos.(the first town) SO I have a 2 parter. 1: has anyone heard of any Heat issues with 9X freezing when your psp reaches a certian temp? I ask because it seems to work ok or not freeze when not plugged in but heaven forbid if you need to charge inbetween that. Second is there a newer version or better emu for SNES?

Have you tried a different ROM? I think I saw a new version of the emu at qj.net a while back. Snes9x 0.42++ or something. Hope this helps.

It a good idea to have "Hide extensions for known file types" in Folder Options(under Tool) unchecked (turn on extensions)

I tried upgrading from the plain 2.4TYL to that newer one, and it runs much better... but when I save state, then next time I go back to the menu the system freezes then shuts off - and it hasn't saved. Anyone else have this problem? Maybe it's just because I'm using saves from the older version? Looks like I have to go back to older one for now.

Edit: Nevermind. I tried actually getting the newest test version here on this site and it works fine. I had downloaded it from elsewhere before because this site downloads really slow for me. Dunno why it made a difference, but it seems ok for now - or it was just a fluke and is going to happen again later.
