ok.. as we al know.. 2.0 uses a differend encryption.. but all the games that are released for 2.0 must have a confirmed acces by the psp.. wich means the key mus be inside the 2.0 games... I mean how else could wipe out pure load the new gamma and delta package???...

dont start flaming... its just an idea... or maybe its possible to modifie those packages with an flash utility....

(once again...) its just an idea...

I want homebrew just as much as you do... stuck with an 2.0

My understanding is, there is no encryption, at least with the version checking. The game simply has code in it, that checks the version number (which is why WAB works) and if it's below what it needs to be, it updates it. Simple as that, there is no encryption code, as those games run perfectly fine on a 1.50 Firmware PSP.

ok... if what you say is true tha maybe sony only blocked games launching from a memory stick... and only alow those on an umd disc... if thats true than what we realy need is not a downgrader but some kind of a exploit... isnt it possible... to enter the psp's rom with usb connection and search for where the firmware is located and ad some new rules or features to it? or just simply hack it?? and kick out the 2.0 firmware and replace it with an older version ??

I mean common lets all put our thougths together...
there must be an way.. (cause every thing thats bin made by humans, can also be brought down by humans....

I really hate sony for this shi@%#^^X@T

thers is a way to play homebrew on every version, but we have to decrypt and extract the SDK key and that is like the key for all UMD's and shit to run

read this info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Encryption and then tell
me if it's worth it. you must not understand encryption well enough if
you think "smart guys" can brute force 128-bit encryption.

i'm not flaming you, but that's just how it is. sony chose very high
security, and it's probably not possible to hack 2.0. if so, it won't be
by brute force.
