I don't think there's anything you can do about it.... I even tried the 8.2 version of Bookr but went back to the Bookr Mod version.... much better overall. It's a shame that no one has sorted out why it's so slow with photos in pdf files. Also the 8.2 version won't change the CPU rate... even though it has an option to. BookrMod does... running it at 333mhz makes a small difference.... more so with general use though.....

The best thing to do is use Acrobat or some other application to resize/optimize your PDFs to reduce the overall file size. Most any book should, as a general rule, have its file size well under 10MB.

That's weird....mine runs fine at 25mhz cpu =p
maybe my pdf's aren't as big |
