Exclamation 5.50 GEN-B Breaks Homebrew Functionality!!

I am using PSP Phat (1000).

I updated from 5.50 GEN-A to GEN-B and it breaks homebrew functionality!
I can't even downgrade with hellcat's flasher (I was able to from 5.50 GEN-A before)!
Some other people have this problem too:
People at GPSP blog (you have to translate it)

I strongly recommend you guys to NOT upgrade to GEN-B.

Also, do you guys know of any solution or a way around this without a pandora battery?

Dude, we're having the same issue. I don't have a non-fake MS(to make MMS), nor a pandora battery atm, so I'm waiting for a patch on this . GEN team has really disappointed me this time...
There's also a thread about this on Dark_Alex's forums, but the crew there also said, that (yet) there's no other way than pandorizing it.

Damn, the GEN people should really submit a patch soon.

Do you have the link to the thread on Dark_Alex forum?

why are people using GEN when M33 is much better? the only thing that makes it worth to use it is because you can acess psn, but it is sony's only fault that we cannot download their games, so why not download them? it's their own fault that we cannot spend our money.

I am using GEN because sub folder support is important for my purposes.
I know there is a .ctf theme that can be used with M33, but it crashes my PSP whenever I try to open my video folder.

I found a way to make at least gpsp work. Yay!

Here is the blog post. You need to download the updated EBOOT.PBP for gpsp:
http://takka.tfact.net/blog/?p=810

Hope that helps others who had my problem

PS: THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT 5.50 GEN-B IS SAFE. IT JUST WORKS FOR the new version of GPSP.
