FF Tactics or Jeanne d'Arc

okay, for those who've played both games...which would you recommend more?

I've decided I need a non-real-time RPG on my system now, it's been a while....so...if you had to pick

Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of Lions
or
Jeanne d'Arc

Well I'll be the first to say I played the Original FF Tactics on the PSX years ago. And I loved it, though I'm not going to lie, I originally wasn't into it, then I tried it again and couldnt get enough. I never playe Jeanne D'Arc, but I heard its highly acclaimed. I've also heard that FFT:WoTL is a pretty flawless port. I personally wouldn't play it again unless we went on a few year streak of sucky games, which is kinda funny cuz we have...(but I have a lot of games to catch up on)... But if its your first time around I'd recommend FFT:WoTL.. if you dont like it initially, sell it (or delete it) and buy (or use your preferred method to get) the other.

FFT:WoTL on the PSP HAS a FLAW, when you use a skill in battle, THERE IS SLOWDOWN

aight i'll reiterate the question cause im bound to get alot of love for both games. which would you get FIRST? or maybe.....which will be faster to defeat? I'd probably like to start with the quicker one so I can go straight to the longer one. i'm gonna go out on a limb and say Tactics is probably 100+ hours, like any good FF game

I'd recommend FFT that was my favorite game. I would play the game for hours.

I dont think I put THAT much time into tactics.. I'll see if i can dig up the time on my last gamesave when i get home.

wow I just skimmed through the forum a bit and alot of people seem to think Tactics is a long and boring game, most of them recommending Jeanne D'Arc or Disgaea in it's place

I think I may have put around 50hrs... the individual battles sometimes feel as if they could take an eternity.. dont know if that is good or bad..

What a coincidental post! i was just about to post the biggest promo of FFT ever! i never got to play it on ps1 so i 'purchased' it when i first got my psp a couple of years ago, played it, liked it but didnt save for a few battles n got pwnd by freakin chocobos (save after EVERY battle!!!!) so i left it until a couple of months ago. in that time i have clocked 65 hours of play, have my main character as a lvl 99 dark knight with black mage second job and am just about to get cloud from FF7 as part of a side quest. if u dun mind grinding ALOT, then this game will reward u for every second u put into it....

wait a second did you just say Cloud is in FF Tactics? That's pretty interesting
