the best chickhen mod ever

Ok, so I've been meddling with " the best chickhen mod ever " for nearly a month now and have found ways to get it to work on the first try all the time when you accidentally/purposely switch your psp off.

Some Tips/Pointers to get the chickhen mod working on the first try all the time:

Tip 1: ALWAYS have your theme set to original. (Meaning when you switch on your psp its on original theme)

Tip 2: Chickhen Mod NEVER STARTS while your psp is charging, so dont attempt it while your psp is charging.

Tip 3: When trying to run the chickhen mod, MAKE SURE to let the Options at the bottom right hand corner of the screen to load up before entering the Memory Stick under Photo in xmb.

Tip 4: Once inside Memory Stick, DO NOT SCROLL DOWN STRAIGHT AWAY, either wait for 2 seconds at the ChickHen folder or wait for the Options at the bottom right hand corner of the screen to load up before scrolling down to the blue picture.

Tip 5: After you put approximately 800mb or more in file size into your psp memory stick via USB Cable and switch it off later, the Chickhen mod MIGHT not be able to work on the first try all the time again when you switch on your psp the next time. To make it work on the first try all the time AGAIN, Restoring to default system settings is needed.

Hope these tips help all Unhackable psp2000s and psp3000s out there using bestyugiman's chickhen mod.

The above tips were tested with my psp 3001 with a 8gb sandisk memory stick.

If the above tips do not work, it MIGHT be that these tips ONLY apply with a psp 3001 and a 8gb memory card.

Iam glad I could help you guys , to all who didn't get it by scrolling to blue.keep scrolling down until you find the pic which works with ya , it seems it's random with each and every psp !!!!

*Make sure your system software is 5.03 OFW
*Make sure your theme is set to original
*Try removing the charger , someone reported that it doesn't work with charger

and do you have h.bin in the root of your memory stick. this is often overlooked.

i just bought mine yesterday and now im a little bit disappointed because of this, i need to apply this chickHen everytime i wanted to play my psp...

with this mode..i no longer have to remove and mm stick to install the chickhen?? is this how this works..??

can you please answer...ASAP..thanks a lot..

New : Sedna plugin , keep 5.03 gen-a or 5.03 gen-b alive even after rebooting !!!

1-Dowload the file : Click here
2-Extract it
3-You'll find a 'SEPLUGINS' folder , open it
4-Copy all of its contents to ms0:/SEPLUGINS/
5-Add this line to each of vsh.txt and game.txt in your SEPLUGINS ( if you don't have these two text files then make ones )
this is the line which you shall add : ms0:/seplugins/Sedna.prx 1
What does this plugin do :

* Patch the Reboot of the PSP
* Patch the Shutdown of the PSP
* Hide UMD Update Icon
* Patch flash 0, 1, 2, 3 for USB access
* Redirecting the file version.txt to ms0:/PSP/SYSTEM/version.txt
* Patch the blit TIFF image “blit corrupted data for file with extension .tiff”

Note : If you turn off your psp through the power button , you'll be back to 5.03 ofw.You can reboot your psp via vsh menu and keep 5.03 gen-a/b alive after that reboot. also if you try to do shutdown device in vsh menu , your psp will go to sleep mode instead. and you won't be able to access any of the flashes 0 or 1 or 2 or 3 so that you don't brick your psp

This is what works for me 100% I haven't even tried the one in this thread yet because I like mine so much.

1. Install any ChickHEN R2, keep the folders intact, you should have a chickHEN folder in PICTURES.
2. Remove or replace those chicken egg pictures with Jpegs that load fast (solid colors).
3. Place any standard sized PSP wallpaper in the PICTURES folder, apply that wallpaper to your PSP. Make sure the wallpaper is underneath the ChickHEN folder, navigation wise.
4. Turn off auto start UMD
5. Turn off Key Tone
6. Now anytime you don't have CFW/chickHEN on or if psp crashes; Power on PSP
7. Navigate immediately to [<] [<] [<] Photo [V] Memory Stick (X) Now wait for that little black thing that displays (^) Options in a black rectangle at the bottom, as it pops up immediately press (X) now wait inside the chickHEN folder press nothing.

With this trick I've had 100% success rate in my last 30 tries.
