TA-082 Downgrader Released

Here's the deal.

I have acquired a "TA-082 Downgrader" from a dev.

It works the following way:

First, you run the PC based program.
It asks for you PSP serial number.
Then it asks for a current dump of your firmware.
After that, it makes an UPDATE folder.


Sound familiar? It should. It's 0okm's method.


It can downgrade a TA-082 2.50 PSP to 1.50.
2.60/2.71 users can use the DAX generic downgrader to get back to 2.50.


Here's the thing. Everyone is too scared to test it. Heck, only one guy says it works right? And it can't be done on a Mod chip.
The only way to test it is with a live test.

So if anyone has the balls to test this thing, (keep in mind the possibilities of a brick could be/are quite high, if this turns out to be a prank), PM me.

REMEMBER! This could just turn out to be a bricker, that is why I am not posting a link.

Hmm. I have a TA-082 (well, its not mine, but w/e :twisted: ), but dont have the balls to try. Not that I dont trust you, but the whole 1.5 Bootstrap thing seems almost bulletproof until I hear some success.

Yeah... too bad. I have my 2nd PSP which just happens to be a TA-082 at 2.5 but still... after all the idiots who have come out in the past few days claiming they have a downgrader, it gets a bit hard to believe.
Also, for anyone trying this, can you PLEASE PLEASE post a video? I want to see how this works!

i also have a second psp wich is a 2.5 ta-082, but im not gonna risk it......just get some noob to do it lol

I never did quite understand the connection between a PSP's serial number and downgrading it.

I wouldn't try out any downgrader from a second hand source.

Request to see some source code so you can review it and compile it yourself.

you cant just get sum noob to do it... we wont believe him and/or he might hav fucked up sumwer and say its a bricker because he /she didnt follow the steps

chaos if you like u can giv me the "downgrader" but ill hav to ask my brother if he wants to risk it.. since im giving him my ta-082 psp for christmas
