The REAL solution is to use an 80x80 ICON0 and not a 144x80. That icon is a bug fix put there by Dark Alex and without it you would have issue with game saves. Sony made it so that it would crash if the save icon wasnt 80x80 which is what ps1 games should be.

Play on older pops if u want to keep a 144x80 icon or just use a damn square icon 80x80.

You can google it.. PSX2PSP v.1.4.2 is the one you want. By the way, you have to find base.pbp for this to work and put it into files folder for it to converting ISO format to PBP format.

Dont want to find base.pbp or don't know where to find it for PSX2PSP to work ? Then try this:

popstationGUI

ENJOY!

Sorry to also be a noob i'm using popstation gui 3.00 beta, I can make everything no problem but where would I use the save image(.png) I want on the popstation gui. I've changed the picture of the red guy in my save data but once I save again it returns to that same guy. Ether using a 80x80 or 144x80 image. I don't think there is anywhere on the PS gui that can change it, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I might not be getting the point but that PAL to NTSC screen height fix doesnt work, in some cases it makes it worse. Is there any other way to fix this?

The included fix is quite rough - you're probably better off finding a dedicated PAL -> NTSC converter, or better, finding the NTSC version of the game if possible.

Yea, well, I have 40 PSX games I want to convert, so downloading or getting my hands on NTSC disks are nearly impossible!

wonder if anyone can help me - I've got ff9 running on my PSP (3k, using latest version of Chickhen and the CFWenabler). On disc two, going into Cleyra, it freezes before loading the second screen - still get sound, but no buttons work and I can't do anything. Any way to fix this/work around it?

I'm rather interested in how you manage to start a program if it's missing...
Can you give more details on what exactly you're doing?
