the issue with the hard drive is rather simple, down the line it would be easier to just swap out the 2 cards once the ground work has been done (installing the adapter).
as well as i dont know what the read/write time is on the hard drive but im willing to bet with the constant having to spin up and slow down you would have a slower speeds... as well as less battery.. either way, all the power to ya... perhaps make the drive in a clear case with an almost window effect on your psp so you could at least see them work?

Is the memory stick slot still usable once you've done the mod to internalize the CR-3100?
Would be awesome to have 32gb with the CR-3100 plus another 32gb with the CR-5400! I'm thinking this isn't possible, but would like to be proven wrong on this

I've got a slim, will probably stick with the CR-5400 for the time being.
Was hoping that I could somehow get 64gb (overly optimistic hehe) onto the psp. If i did the internal mod (32gb) and also had my CR-5400 in the psp (32gb), then since they can both actually be used, albeit one at a time, would I be able to easily switch between them without rebooting or removing/disabling one? eg. if i had one for games/homebrew & one for music/movies Would there be two memory stick icons appearing somehow in the xmb, or do i have to remove/disable one whenever i want to use the other? ...never actually done any mods to my psp before so please forgive if these are simple/stupid questions.

it would be done with a switch. im not exactly sure how yet as i gota figure it out but it would just be a switch on the power line for the memory stick and it would switch between the 2. and no you would only be able to see one at at time in the xmb
