Default How to watch .avi videos on your SONY PSP VISTA/XP OS?

I just recently installed Windows Vista/XP on my sony psp, and i am having a really hard time trying to play a .avi video on my sony psp. The whole reason i thought i should installed the windows OS on my PSP so i don't have to go through the trouble to convert the normal videos i have on my computer to PSP video format, which takes a LONG time depending on the size.

Can anyone tell me if i am doing anything wrong here, i also don't have any type of media player on my windows vista for the psp. I only have the psp itunes player, but that seems more for the mp3 player then the video, or can i use the psp itunes player to run vidoes? And is there a way to install like VLC player to windows media player on my vista OS on the psp?

LOL, Im sure its not a true windows, I mean hell, Win95 can only play solitare and minesweeper (barely). The only way that you can play .avi on a psp is using PSPlayerMT, and even that is buggy.

It a good idea to have "Hide extensions for known file types" in Folder Options(under Tool) unchecked (turn on extensions)

Wait for a firmware update that enables the PSP to watch .avi

Just convert the damn video
