I picked up my phone a few days ago, this horn then sounded and I heard a voice saying "This is your captain speaking, you have won 2 free tickets" blah blah blah

If your talking about those people who call and say like you can do this and win this then yeah, I get loads of that. What I usually do if when it's a real person calling I will pick up and then talk for a minute thinking I'm interested and then hang up.

If you do EVER get someone offering to sell you stuff over the phone, it's actually incredibly funny. Put on a voice, as if you're some old pensioner, and whenever they say something, reply, "WHAAAAT? I CAN'T HEAR YOU." etc. :P

They're annoying, but I don't let them bother me to the point where I freak out on them and cuss at them and slam the phone. They'll just add you to their long list of speed-dial numbers and make sure to check in at another time.
