Laptop to TV, no S-Video?

My laptop doesn't have an output S-Video port :( What's the best way to output it onto a TV (I know it wont be amazing resoultion, but as long as its decent its fine with me). I found a VGA-to-S-Video cable on Amazon, but the reviews said the thing sucked ass and basically didn't work. Anyone got ideas?

what tv and what ports do you have? optimal would be dvi->dvi/hdmi
