Alienware is a ripoff

You arent paying for just the components. They are assembling it at a much higher quality than you will, and they back it up with a warranty and great customer service. I've built my own rigs and bought pc's from Alienware. It's an experience, and if you cant afford it, oh well.

I can afford them, but I like to build my own cuz I learn from it, and its fun to see your hard work pay off when its running and such :)

I like to build my own. I've never owned an Alienware, so i can't vouch for or against their customer service or build quality. I assume they build them very well. if I ever run into the money, I'd buy a laptop from them.
