An idea:
Why not let us upload attatchments to our posts?

It's a shame so much of the stuff people share on this site falls victom to expired sendspace links... :(

Why can't we upload attatchments directly to the site?

Probably a shortcomming of PunBB (though I think there was a plugin to allow attatchments).

There's probably other reasons too. Though SendSpace isn't too hard to use, and if it's something important, it would be uploaded to the main site. Also, IDK, but FileFront probably keeps the files longer.

It's really up to the admins I guess - there's pros and cons on the issue. Thanks for the suggestion anyways.

Yeah, why add attachments when there is sendspace and imageshack?

People will abuse it and upload isos or something probably.

Unless the max was like a mb

^^Pretty much all forums have a max attatchment size. Also each user gets a quota.
So uploading illegal material isn't too much of a problem.

I'd say space is probably an issue, however, plus the fact that Sendspace/Filefront etc are usually fine.

Yeah, they work...

But if you host a release thread (gameboots, bg's, whatever) it sucks because your links expire. Then you always got to updat all your links; which can be a major pain in the a$$ if you have multiple threads to maintain.
