Lets add some sort of spellchecker thing, or smartness system (Very similar to Facpunchstudios' forums if any of you have been there) that makes it so, you start with a certain amount of points, if you spell things wrong, it makes you go back and fix your posts, or else it deducts points, and if your points drop below a certain amount, then it doesn't allow you to post anymore. All in all, I think this would be a great addition, because half of the posts on this site either make no sense whatsoever, or are just ridiculously wrongly spelt.
Also, the posts don't make the man, having our post count under our names is unneccesary.

That won't go over. case and point you have lack luster grammar and structure as well.
"ridiculously wrongly spelt."
The internet is not an essay or a spelling be, everyone has a different style of writing.

spell checker (2 words not 1) you fail x 1
spelt (should be spelled) you fail x 2
unnecessary (you spelled that wrong as well) you fail x 3
please go back and fix the spelling mistakes or die.....

I think it would be a neat idea, but also just something of a hassle.
people in these forums like to use stupid, made up words like "phail" and "h4x0r"... with that system I don't even think that you could type "lol" and have it count against you
If you download the new version of firefox (firefox 2) then you would automatically receive a small version of spell checker, much like microsoft word, that will underline a word red when it is mispelled/ not recognized.

firefox 2 has this feature

This idea is rubbish IMO
We already have a spell checker and like Exira said:
