Die Nasty's Beginner Sig Tutorial
ok this tutorial is going to show you how to make one of my previous sigs i have made its going
to be simple since many people on psp hacks are not familiar with the Photoshop software...
since i liked the sig I made for R3tard so i decided to make this tutorial on how i made it..
Of coarse its not likely you will get the exact thing but it will be very similar…
http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m116/dienasty_2006/tut/retard.png
things you will need..
1.Photoshop * im using Photoshop CS they are all similar so don’t worry if you have a different version..*
2.Some renders *i will provide the ones that im going to be using on this thread*
3.creativity
4.A mouse for your computer...
5.A monitor to view your sig
6.And also a computer...
the last three were intended to make you laugh....
ok now first open photo shop.... you will come to this screen
http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m116/dienasty_2006/tut/pic1.jpg
now you will need your renders you can download them on the bottom link.... You will probably need to shrink them since its up to you on how big your sig is…
RENDERS
http://rapidshare.de/files/30172917/renders.rar.html <-- rapidshare
http://www.sendspace.com/file/663vc3 <-- send space
now that you have your renders ....you have to start getting creative this tutorial is intended to get you
familiar with Photoshop how are you supposed to do that if don’t want to experiment?
ok now we start off with opening a new file you do this by going to FILE>>NEW>>and I made my sig size 450 *width* by 121 *height* that’s the max sig size for psp hacks and I like a big working space....
http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m116/dienasty_2006/tut/measur.jpg
Ok now that we have our canvas paint the background black with the brush tool or pencil it really doesn’t matter.. Now we should have this…
http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m116/dienasty_2006/tut/black.jpg
now we grab a background i chose this one shown below..
http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m116/dienasty_2006/tut/movetool.jpg
it is called swirl in your render pack you download up top....
and with the move tool http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m116/dienasty_2006/tut/movetoolpic.jpg we grab our render and place it over the black background lets call this layer swirl…
http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m116/dienasty_2006/tut/movetool.jpg
once you have the render positioned you grab another one and again place it over the previous one I used this as my second render name this gloss
http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m116/dienasty_2006/tut/move2.jpg
Now we have this^^^^^
Now just one last layer… were going to add the layer called sharp
http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m116/dienasty_2006/tut/paste3.jpg
Place it over the rest of our layers and we should have this ^^^
Now adding the layers is done woot woot now its time to start touchups and blending
First Blending…
The blend tool bar or box whatever you want to call it is located here ….
http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m116/dienasty_2006/tut/layerblending.jpg
These are my blending options
Click on any layer you want and switch it around..... I set my layers to this….
Swirl = normal
Gloss = vivid light
Sharp = overlay
Now we have an ok.. Background now we add our gaming render you will most likely have to shrink this image To shrink the image go to IMAGE>>IMAGESIZE I set my properties to 320 width and 307 height…
http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m116/dienasty_2006/tut/toolbox.jpg
Now place the soldier image over the background layers and place it how ever you may like…I came up with this…
http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m116/dienasty_2006/tut/cameupwith.jpg
Now once we have our soldier in place we click on our sharp layer and when we do we have to choose the option of color balance press this button shown below then choose the option of color balance…
http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m116/dienasty_2006/tut/colorbalance.jpg
Once you have selected that option you go to the top lever and raise it to 100% then you just leave it alone..
http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m116/dienasty_2006/tut/100.jpg
Now once we have completed that its time to say bye bye to that blue background…
To do that we need a new layer so go ahead and create a new layer ....
This background should be tan since the soldier is tan… so I took the dropper tool http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m116/dienasty_2006/tut/dropper.jpg and I clicked on the soldiers hat because I figured that was the best color for a tan look….
http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m116/dienasty_2006/tut/wheretoputdropper.jpg
Once you have your tan color selected bring out the brush and with that new layer brush then tan all over to create this…..
http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m116/dienasty_2006/tut/tan.jpg
Ok now we need to merge this layer to the color balance layer…. to do that move your cursor right between the two layers and press ALT and you will get a cursor that looks like an eye just go ahead and click and the layers will look like this….
http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m116/dienasty_2006/tut/notice.jpg
Now its time to blend again..
Your new layers blending option should be = NORMAL
The color difference should be set to = Color
And the rest of the layers are fine
You should have this now…
http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m116/dienasty_2006/tut/almostfinal.png
Once you have that you add your text…
Be creative lets see what you get I’ve gotten you this far =)
And then if you want to go the extra mile add a border by grabbing the pencil tool
*you can use it by right clicking the brush tool* the pixel set I use for borders
Is set to 4 px ……..remember if you press shift your lines should stay straight….
This is your final sig YAY!!
http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m116/dienasty_2006/tut/almostfinal.png
If you mess around and add more renders you could end up with this…
http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m116/dienasty_2006/tut/final.png
I hope this helped some one out a bit =) if you have any questions go ahead and ask
ill answer them for you …. And also if you take this tutorial please post what you ended up with… I want to see how I could improve my tutorials… thanks for taking the time to read this …Die Nasty….
