Ok Iam getting problems with my PSP, cause I think mixing firmware is the problem. Mainly cause my PSP started to weird out and thinks it has a headphone jack still in the PSP...there isnt. Alot of people who I talk to who have JP 2.0 have been getting problems too. Do you guys also think it could be the JP FW?

you can't "mix" firmware. installing new firmware replaces the old.

just wait it didnt do a thing when i got then 2 dadys ago it started to wig out ( I CAREFULLY HANDLE MY PSP SO ITS NOT FORM DAMAGE) oh and you basically can mix firmware caus when you put new firmware on your PSP in uses parts from the other firmware version you already had it doens put a completely new firmware on it. So it does mix the firmware.

no, ur wrong again, it completey overwrites over the older one, it has features of older one but it is a new version, so u can't mix them, if that was the case, then ppl with 2.0 would play homebrew if it still had 1.5 pieces...not true, i just proved u wrong

I know it a new version, but you even said it had features from the previous version, so wouldnt that be considered mixing the firmware, cause it has features from the old one and new one? If Iam wrong I am wrong I and Ill shut up, till then I believe what I believe.

its like when you make something in photoshop and save it then you make a change....it saves the whole thing OVER AGAIN....it dosent just add the new code.....

if you put a jap fw onto a us psp sony will figure it out and they will not replace it. one of my friends completely screwed up his psp when he was updating to 2.0 jap but his f***ing sister unpluged it adn took the bat out so it screwed the hole thing up not it says that he still has 1.5 but it has come security of a 2.00 so he has no homebrew and he cant play games that require 2.00

thats stupid, if you fuck your PSP, you can just upgrade to the US 2.01 or 2.5 and if you briced it, sony cant find out what firmware was on it cuz the way they re-flash your PSP after being bricked is by flashing the firmware onto the motherboard.
