umd to minidisc?

has anyone heard or tried anything with minidiscs, because i looked at my minidisc and the disc itself looks the exact same. the only differnce is the outer case and im sure it cant be that hard to make one if you had the resources. could you imagine using your minidisc player/writer to store games on a minidisc then changing the outer shell to mak eit psp compatible?

just a thought.

IRA soldier is correct. The medium standard is completly different.

That would be like ripping the disc from a 3.5 floppy disk and trying to use it as a UMD.

Before the UMD specs came out I figured I would give it a try. I took my sampler disc and ripped it out of the case. Put it in my PC. Nada.

That really annoys me, but really... Common sense! A 1.8gb Disc and a 500-600mb disc are most likely un-compatible. Think about it! Actually, I don't kknow Minidisc size, i am guessing.
