UPDATE!!!!!
It's just been confirmed. The $ony memory sticks are complete BULLSHIT. The high speed sticks are only high speed in certain devices! The PSP IS NOT one of those devices. The high speed sticks run only 2% faster then the FREE ONE that came with your PSP. The SanDisk sticks run much faster then the $ony sticks so stick with those sticks :D
I'm still waiting for numbers that will show the speed difference between the regualr SanDisks versus te Ultra II SanDisks.

Since we're getting close to having an ISO Loader I figure people will start running out and buying memory sticks.
ONLY BUY THE HIGH SPEED ONES!!!!!
The regular ones are so slow they might very well load SLOWER then the UMD.
Sony 1GB Pro Duo (regular)
Read & Write 15Mbps
Sony 1GB Pro Duo (High Speed)
Read & Write 80Mbps (THIS IS TOTAL CRAP AND NOT TRUE FOR PSP)
SanDisk 1GB Pro Duo (Ultra II)
Read 83Mbps
Write 75Mbps
I hope more data can be added over time.

I got the Scandisk brand "gaming stick" it has 256. Im pretty sure by the price tag its a slower one. Well im happy with it anyway.

For SanDisk it will say Ultra II if it's the high speed one.

Well... damn thats why I always have to let it sit alittle before going out of USB mode, without gets a "files could not finish being distributed" (not a persice quote)

Hum...I've seen this in a few places now:
"Its high speed feature allows it to read and write data at speeds up to 80Mbps on enabled devices."
ENABLED DEVICES. I wonder if the PSP is an enabled device :?:

The SanDisk can read a little faster but it writes a little slower.

writing doesn't matter to me, its how fast it can be read, the faster, the better performance games will run :D

CONFIRMED!!!!
$ony High Speed Memory Sticks:
Unfortunately, “High” speed (80Mbps, actually) is only supported in certain devices, and the PSP is not one such device.

I want the SONY 1gig. Any1 know the retail price. I plan on trying to find one on eBay to buy. I figure if I buy from SONY, it kinda makes up for getting fre games right? anway, I like the black ones better than those colored sandisk ones and they are the same price I believe. I'm gonna check eBay and tell u guys! hang on!

I see it now. That doesn't test the Ultra II's. I want to see the difference between the regular SanDisk and the Ultra II's. Can't find that anywhere. I want to buy a 2GB when they come out but I'm not sure if I should buy another Ultra II or the regular.

its true that the sandisk is better n all but i beg to differ.
it seems as if the Snes smulator i had messed it up n now my 256mb sandisk memory stick dont work for jack.
ive tried everything i could to try to fix the problem yet no luck so i dont really recommend messin with emuz in ur precious sandiskz until the problem or new emuz come out.
p.s.
it was the snes emu. that messed up my memory stick, im sure of it
