how to brick a psp

how can i screw up my psp, like insert a virus so it can be damaged, or wtvr, u know what i mean, cuz i wanna return it, to exchange it, cuz my firmware is v1.51 and i dont want that $hit. any suggestions?

Don't brick it. If you really want to though, go to update it to 1.52, when its at 1% of installing, take out your battery.

out of the box firmware is 1.5. It'll still be 1.5 unless sony decides to update all the firmware before shipment, which is highly unlikely.

i returned mine saying i had dead pixels (which i really did 3 of em) and i got a brand shiny new ver 1.5 psp! lol. just do that shit.

I got to return mine cause I screwqed up the button PCB and the screen brightness button stopped working. That was actually an accident, but if you want, just let a little water seep into he part below the PSP logo, butonly little by little, until the buttons wont function correctly, then u can blame that on SONY! BUTtherte's a problem, SONy has already begun to ship out 1.51s!!!! gamestop luckily yesterday had extras for their last shipment cause they always order such big shipments and I was able to get one of tgheir 1.5s! But, EB, yesterday, when I returned m older one for the button not working, they gave me a replement (EB replaced it cause I paid for their warranty) and theirs had 1.51 cause they always order small shipments. So the newer ones are starting to come with 1.51!! IF ANY1 WANT 1.5, GO GET THAT THING NOW!!!! Soon, 1.5 will be as rare as 1.0 and 1.0 will be as rare as 0.0!!! (Which doesn't exist. That's the joke, so please dont be an idiot and "Ther's no 0.0!!")

Hah why brick when you Have places like costco tHat take back anything? if you got the money buy a new one from costco, replace your old 1.51 in the new one's box and return it, getting your money back. wHam bam tHank you mam!

Sir Ocelot, I've already tried that with my PSP at Walmart, K-Mart and Costcos. Sorry but even the idiotic places such as these have learned to check serial numbers on highpriced items O_O. I was PISSED lol

Good thing i live in a small town.........not that many people buy them. So that means that the released psp are still there sinced the launched dated. well at least some of them :lol: its just of matter of me getting up and exchanging my psp hehehe :D

I know how to make your psp seem defected.....

You have to make a PSP/GAME/UMD or PSP/UMD and put a EBOOT in the umd folder......

Go to the store and say my psp won't work when I try to exit a game and it stays stuck on the "Please Wait" screen :(
