My friend has bricked his psp slim console. I installed custom firmware 3.90m33-3 to his console and also installed games on the memory stick etc. Checked to see that everything worked and it worked all fine. My friend said that he was playing the iso games and everything was ok. Then he put an original umd game in the console and that worked fine aswell. He then said that he turned the console off and put it on charge. When he went to turn the onsole back on, it would not turn on.

I have the console in my hands atm. Green power light turns on but no screen. I've tried turning the console on using the power supply and no battery. I've pressed (mashed) the brightness light but still no luck. I've created a magic memory stick and inserted it into the console. Then inserted the pandora battery into the console while holding L but nothing happens, not even a light.

Don't know what else I could try. I'm using a datel battery so theres deffinetly nothing wrong with that. I made the mms using psp grader v001.

any ideas?

Nah, I've made the stick correctly, even tested it on my console with the datel battery and it's all working fine. Something is wrong. Is it even possible to brick a psp console by playing games? I think he tried to install something and has stuffed it up?

Figured it out last night.

The error code showed up because my usb cable is retarted. I found that error code on the microsoft website and after I tried using a diff usb cable, all worked fine.
I managed to unbrick the psp console very easily after overcoming that error code, and now I know why I couldn't transfer large files from my pc to the memory stick! STUPID EBAY USB CABLE!

Thanks for the help 40_ounce
