upgrading cfw

i have 3.40 oe-a should i upgrade to the newest and would i be able to play all old emulators and what new things do you get like skype those things and are is there an easy way to upgrade it and a post to help because my friend downgraded my psp phat for me

Yes you will still be able to run your homebrew, I heard some bad things about the lastest CFW though (4.01 M33)
Skype is for slim PSP.

Appreciate the help but am a lil stuck :(

On the page you've directed to, to install 4.01 m33 etc, i need to be on 3.52 m33 or higher but currently i'm on 3.4OE-A.

Will it be ok to just follow the instructions to update to 4.01 or will i need to find instructions to upgrade to 3.52 m33 or whatever...?

ok so i wanted to update my 3.40E-A phat psp to 3.90 M33 but it says i need 3.52 M33 would i brick if i did that?:rolleyes:

yo hill62, I've done it! In the same boat as you as i had 3.40 OE-A and wanted to upgrade to 4.01. btw, i'm on a phat psp.

Upgrade ur psp to 3.52 m33 http://rapidshare.com/files/45010019..._Installer.rar
